Welcome to The Livable Communities Coalition’s new blog!

The Coalition has launched the blog to better engage our members, thought leaders and the general public regarding our mission and establish our role in encouraging productive conversations about smart growth in our region.

We think these next few years will be critically important in shaping metro Atlanta’s future. We believe metro Atlantans must be more willing to talk to each other and collaborate to ensure our region remains robust economically and enhances the quality of life we all desire for ourselves and for our families.

However, in order to achieve our mission, the Coalition recognizes it cannot communicate using the old models; in short, the emergence of digital media has leveled the playing field and created new opportunities organizations like ours to communicate more broadly, effectively and with a unique voice.

To better facilitate conversation about our shared future, we will generate original content for our blog, comment on local development and transportation issues, invite input from thought leaders and regular people, as well as aggregate news stories that address the issue of how we grow.
